Comparison

Hilda AI vs. Goodcall

Goodcall starts at $79 a month and bills by unique caller rather than by minute, which is an unusually honest model: a caller who rings three times costs you once, and a long call costs the same as a short one. Its core platform is general small-business software; its own homepage describes it as "Voice AI for Enterprise... for Service CX," covering retail, healthcare, banking and more, not hospitality specifically. It does have a restaurant offering, Goodcall for Restaurants, but that runs on a partner's AI (Palona AI, partnered November 2025) rather than Goodcall's own core product, a meaningfully different thing from a hospitality-native platform.

Compared against Goodcall's published pricing page, originally verified July 2026; pricing and core-platform integrations unchanged. Updated 2026-08-14: goodcall.com was unreachable directly from this environment (network egress blocked). The "Voice AI for Enterprise... Service CX" homepage positioning and the Palona AI-powered "Goodcall for Restaurants" partnership (announced 2025-11-13, per BusinessWire and multiple independent syndication) are corroborated by search but not a direct read of goodcall.com. We did not find independent confirmation of native POS integration on Goodcall's core platform, only on the separate, partner-powered restaurant product. Updated 2026-08-18: still unreachable this run (same egress block). Search results now also surface a broader "Restaurant Connect" product on goodcall.com naming direct reservation-platform integrations (OpenTable, Resy, SevenRooms, Tock, Eat App, Gastrovia, Yelp Guest Manager) plus a dedicated hotels/hospitality page, a materially bigger claim than the Palona-partnership framing above. Deliberately NOT reflected in the rows/verdicts yet: we can't tell from search alone whether this supersedes the Palona product, is genuinely native rather than another partner integration, or affects pricing; that needs a direct goodcall.com read before touching this page's advantage calls. Check goodcall.com before deciding.

Choose Goodcall if…

  • Budget is the binding constraint and $79 versus $199 decides it
  • Your calls are long but few, which is exactly what per-caller billing rewards
  • You want one agent covering a business that is not a venue

Choose Hilda if…

  • You need the order or booking to land in Toast or Clover, not in a Zapier webhook
  • Your callers ask hospitality questions: covers, corkage, allergens, parking, check-in
  • You have hundreds of distinct callers a month, where $0.50 each adds up fast

Judge it for yourself

On a demo we will deliberately ask Hilda something it should not know, so you hear how it hands off, not just the happy path.
